Protect your Cat from Coyotes, an Amazon Kindle ebook, tells you how to protect your cat from coyotes – and why you need to.

The book tells the true story of a fearless Siamese cat who wanted to be outside and her humans who wanted to protect her from coyotes in the neighborhood.

Here’s why you should read this book if you have a cat:
  • Large, smart coyotes are living and multiplying in many suburbs and cities in the US
  • Many cats are in danger when they are outside, especially at night
  • Coyotes stalk and kill cats (and small dogs) when they get the opportunity
  • Coyotes may be living in your neighborhood now

In the book, I describe how you can minimize the danger to your cat from coyotes with knowledge and strategies that can help you keep your cat out of trouble, based on my experiences since 1997. I also tell the story of an unusual cat (Missy the Siamese Wolverine) who chose freedom over the safety of staying inside. Because our cat Missy was very unhappy staying inside and clearly wanted to live a life of adventure, I had to learn as much as I could about the local coyotes and their behavior. After I confirmed that coyotes frequented the woods behind our home and visited our backyard regularly, I began studying coyotes to determine how to keep our adventurous feline as safe as possible.

Many cat experts maintain that keeping your cat inside is a must. But many cats don’t want to stay inside. The Siamese Wolverine (who punished us very creatively for confining her) demanded freedom and adventure over safety and security. Ultimately we understood that she felt like she was in prison when she was stuck in the house, so we relented and let her out. For some people and some cats, a life without freedom is not worth living.
